1:72 scale F-16 kits by Zhengdefu, KiTech,
Revell Germany, Monogram (new molds)

The Zhengdefu and Kitech kits are based on the Hasegawa 1:72 kits. Sprues have been re-arranged to some extent but the heritage is obviously Hasegawa. Box art and markings are the same as Hasegawa, but the decal sheets are inferior to the original Hasegawa decals. I don't know if this is an 'authorized' copy but, since Zhengdefu is from China, I seriously doubt it is. Panel lines are more deeply engraved than the Hasegawa kits, and inaccurate in many places. The (NSI only) intake design and external stores are identical to the Hasegawa kits. Ejection seats are ACES II.

In 2000 Revell-Germany issued an all new release, sharing no parts with the old Revell kits. These kits feature excellent detail throughout, rivaling and even exceeding the Hasegawa kits. Cockpit has raised detail, afterburner can is realistically deep, and landing gear bays well detailed. Monogram later reissued a version with new markings.
