Welcome to Greg and Gina's websiteOK mostly Greg's website... |
||
| Greg is the "left brain" of the family. Logical, analytical, rational, sequential, objective. Won't go anywhere without a map. Greg has a mechanical engineering degree, and has worked with computers and the flight simulation industry since the early '80s. He is also interested in older cars, especially Pontiacs. He never seems to be able to get all the dirt out from under his fingernails... | Gina is the "right brain" of the family. Intuitive, holistic, artistic, random, subjective. Doesn't need a map, if it's out there, she'll find it. Gina has a masters degree in anthropology, and is very interested in cultural history. She started and runs her own business, and organizes and manages a large art show for high school students every year. She wishes Greg would get her 1955 DeSoto running, instead of that old blue Firebird... | |
| Since the rest of this website deals with Greg's interests we have grouped Gina's interests here. Gina does have her own email address but, outside of that, avoids computers as much as possible. She does check and answer her email though. | ||
| In 1997 Gina volunteered at the local elementary school, and led an art project for the 5th and 6th grade students. You can see their Olmec Colossal Mask Project here. | ||

Every year Gina organizes and manages the
Texas Visual Arts Association High School Art Show.
She started doing this in 1997, and in 1999 Greg wrote a small VB application to organize registering the ~1000 entries for the show.
In 2000 and 2001 we took photos of the accepted artwork and made CDs to sell to the students and teachers. You can view the 2000 Show CD and the 2001 Show CD online. This was a lot of work, and interest in the CDs didn't meet our expectations, so we stopped making the CDs and concentrated on the show itself. Art show pictures from 2003, 2004 and 2006 can be seen here. |

In 2002 we bought an old house on our street and spent most of the year restoring it.
That fall we moved Gina's mother into the house, and together they run a small child care business called
All In The Family Child Care. |
