| Here's the fuselage during the stripping process. Getting down to bare aluminum wasn't too bad, but the fiberglass cowling had suffered from numerous layers of paint and years exposure to the elements. The engine access door on the upper right (stbd) side of the cowling was filled in as was the hole in the windscreen and numerous antenna mounting holes in the fuselage. The roll-around frame was really proving it's worth during this part of the job. |
