| This particular fuselage had been in the salvage yard for a number of years. It suffered a hard landing that collapsed the nose gear, ramming it through the fuselage floor and ripping the left (port) wing off. There was a fist-sized hole in the lower left corner of the windscreen, and the interior trim was completely trashed. I must have removed about a dozen wasp nests from the interior before we hauled the fuselage onto a flatbed trailer for the trip home. |
